Police Criminal Records Search

by Ben Jen

It’s scary to imagine that we could be face-to-face with danger without realizing it. There are just so many bad apples around these days that you simply cannot be too careful. Fortunately, we can do something about it now. Yes, it’s now easy and convenient to determine the good guys from the bad guys in a matter of minutes by running a Criminal Records Search whenever things or people appear fishy.

Almost everything about everyone is on record nowadays and one of the most prominent categories is Free Public Police records. We can tell a great deal about someone from his Police Arrest Records and can be pretty sure nobody is going to lay out his criminal past voluntarily. On the contrary, it’s natural for people with a criminal past to try to conceal it, whether or not they have reformed. Studies have also shown that a high percentage of crimes are committed by repeat offenders, another observation advocating the practice of police record check. So play it safe.

Do you know you can check police records online. The online option is popular not without reasons. Being online, it is inherently more convenient, faster and easier. A computer with internet access is all that’s needed to log onto tons of information on County Arrest Records. You can be retrieving free police reports within minutes. The required computer skill is also minimal. Anyone savvy enough to operate a washing machine or microwave oven should breeze through. The sequence of prompts and entry fields are typically very prominent and friendly.

Another advantage of Police Records Online is that it can be conducted under cover and in private. That way, chances of being discovered or caught red-handed is virtually non-existent. Input requirement is very minimal too. As little as just a full name and state of residence is enough to activate a check although the more details are provided, the better will be the results. Confidentiality and privacy protection is also strictly observed.

Actually, quite a bit of background information can be derived free-of-charge from respective government departments. However, they tend to be scattered and discrete. If time or bandwidth is a constraint, it is better to resort to the paid-version. A good way to source good ones is through the various review sites plying on the net itself. Only those providers delivering high professional standards make their recommendation lists as the review sites are very professional about it themselves. Many have access to private and exclusive databases of their own and boast billion-record databanks. At very competitive rates in fees, the value-for-money sure rocks.

Chuck Swindoll: Reformation Revisionism

by Daniel LaLond Jr.

In Chuck Swindoll’s defining work, The Grace Awakening, he presents himself as wielding “the torch of freedom” as formerly held by protestant Reformers such as Martin Luther. In this Swindoll leads his readers to think that by following him and his Grace Awakening doctrines that they’re being faithful to the Reformation doctrines of faith alone and grace. Chuck Swindoll says:

Achievement must accompany sincere faith … We continue to hear that “different gospel” and it is a lie. It is heresy. It is antithetical to the true message that lit the spark to the Reformation: Sola Fide - faith alone (The Grace Awakening, p.86).

When the sixteenth-century European Reformers brandished the torch of freedom and stood against the religious legalists of their era, grace was the battle cry…a walk of faith without fear of eternal damnation (The Grace Awakening, p. xiv).

Indeed, the “spark that lit the reformation” was Sola Fide or faith alone. However, the Reformers did not define their terms as Chuck Swindoll does. Swindoll’s understanding of grace promises, “regardless of how you choose to live, you can’t live so bad that God says to you, ‘you’re no longer mine’” (Shedding Light On Our Dark Side, tape sld 1A). Swindoll’s belief regarding the final salvation of even the most reprobate necessitates his elimination of the biblical (as well as the Reformation) linking of works to genuine faith.

In essence, Dr. Swindoll aligns himself with the Reformers and leaves the uninformed reader with the idea that his views on grace and faith are the same as those of the Reformers, which they are not. Contrary to Swindoll, Luther taught that works or “human achievement,” as Swindoll says, go hand in hand with genuine, saving faith. Consider Luther’s teaching:

“Faith must of course be sincere. It must be a faith that performs good works through love. If faith lacks love it is not true faith. Thus the Apostle bars the way of hypocrites to the kingdom of Christ on all sides…Idle faith is not justifying faith. In this terse manner Paul presents the whole life of a Christian. Inwardly it consists in faith towards God, outwardly in love towards our fellow-men” (Luther, Commentary On Galatians).

R.C. Sproul, in his book Faith Alone, wrote: “The Reformers saw saving faith as necessarily, inevitably, and immediately yielding the fruit of works. Martin Luther insisted that the faith that justifies is a fides viva, a vital and living faith that yields the fruit of works.” In spite of this, Chuck Swindoll believes it is heresy and a different gospel to teach that works must accompany sincere faith, and this he does under the banner of the Reformation!

Plainly, Chuck Swindoll leads the uninformed reader to view The Grace Awakening as book recovering the lost truths of the Reformation from the devious hands of present-day legalists who have corrupted them. When the truth is that Luther himself aggressively argued against the conception of grace and faith extolled in Swindoll’s book.

Like those who rewrite history to bolster their agendas, Chuck Swindoll has changed the history of the Reformation to coincide with his views. Does Swindoll teach that “justifying faith is a vital faith that necessarily yields the fruit of works” as did Luther? Does Swindoll insist that “whoever doesn’t do good works is without faith,” as did the Reformers? No he doesn’t, rather, Chuck Swindoll teaches the opposite: that there is no external proof of salvation or spirituality and that it is heresy to maintain that works must accompany faith. And he does this in the name of Reformation teaching! Is this not dishonest? How can this be anything short of historical revisionism?

by Jed Elaine

People are generally resigned to having their vital information officially recorded by the government. A great deal of resources is channeled into gathering and managing these records. In the Information Age, it is seen as a required mark of sound democratic governance. This information resource is also not solely reserved for government use only. The public has the right of access to many of the government records too. One example is Public Marriage Records.

When applying for a license to be married, marriage records of both the prospective husband and wife must be produced as proof of their eligibility. When the new wife is seeking a name change, they are required for substantiation. This is important as the name change itself is often a prerequisite to a further purpose such as immigration, adoption, joint tax returns, social security matters, insurance, medical and many other benefits.

Since marriages are under state jurisdiction, they will be no exception. At a basic level, they include name, age, residence, occupation, birth place, time and place of marriage, some particulars of parents, witnesses and the conducting official of the ceremony. A key point fundamental to the purpose of many a marriage record search is previous marriages, if any, will show up.

It is easy and convenient to conduct a online marriage records county search nowadays. Data archive and retrieval are mostly computerized. Whether it’s done on-site or online, it is fast and generally hassle-free. Within minutes, we can gather records on marital status, names, places, dates, filing numbers, history, background and so forth. Input requirement is also minimal. As little as a full name and state of residence will suffice to initiate a search. Having said that, we also know there can be quite a few people with the same name living in the same state. That’s why the more information is input, such as age, date of birth, address and so forth, the more targeted the finding.

There are basically two types of service we can turn to for marriage record search, the free marriage records and the paid providers. Free services tend to be discrete and scattered so it can be quite time-consuming and tedious. Paid versions come at different levels of professionalism. The better rated ones can deliver very comprehensive reports. Over and above public resources, many have access to private and privileged databases.

If we are not up to the task for it ourselves, there are professional services abundantly available for that these days. This fee-based version of marriage record access ranges from field investigation to online retrieval from both public and private databases. Depending on individual needs and situation, one of these can be the right one for you.

Why The Confederate Flag Remains Popular

by Robert Cooksey

Most of us recognize the Confederate battle flag as a symbol of the south. Also referred to as the Southern Cross, this flag has some very strong associations. For some, these are positive, but for others, they’re quite negative. Some people see the Confederate flag as a proud symbol of the south, and an emblem of their heritage. Other people are likely to see it as a reminder of blue laws and segregation, as well as other racist institutions. A large number of extreme hate groups - more than five hundred by one count - also use this flag as a symbol. That makes the issue even more complicated.

While many people believe that the battle flag was the national flag of the Confederacy, that’s not true. This flag was just one of more than a hundred and eighty different battle flags used in different areas over the course of the war. Some of them looked like the familiar red, white and blue cross. Others looked very different. Even the national flag went through changes - there were three different official Confederate flags during the course of the war.

Display of the Confederate flag is a highly controversial issue for many people - it’s hard to get anyone to agree on exactly what it stands for. When flown, some will see it as an overt form of support for the organizations and racist practices that dominated the south for much of its history. However, other people will see the same flag as a sign of regional pride and acknowledgment of their past. Some, mostly outside the US, even use it as a general symbol of rebellion, divorced from the Civil War entirely.

That’s what makes displaying the flag as part of a state flag, at a sporting event, or on a public building a big deal. The Confederate battle flag can mean a lot to people, and it can also be seen as an attack. Southern state legislatures have struggled with this issue for nearly twenty years.

Many of these states still display the Confederate flag in particular locations or on certain occasions. It’s important to remember that just putting up the Confederate flag doesn’t mean a person is making a racist statement. The issue is a lot more complicated than that.

The Confederate flag is a proud symbol of the south. However, the fact that it’s used by the Klan and other extreme racist organizations mean that it’ll automatically have some other associations. If you want to display this flag, think about the implications, and be willing to explain calmly what it means to you.

The flag is a big symbol of pride in the south. However, the fact that the Ku Klux Klan and similar groups have used it as their own symbol means that there can’t help but be other associations. Display your Confederate flag carefully, and be willing to explain calmly what it means to you.

The Confederate battle flag has a long history, and is still looked on with pride by many. That means that it shouldn’t be dismissed as a banner of racism. It’s a popular symbol that means a lot to many people. Just remember that there are negative associations, too, and that almost everyone reacts strongly to it when it’s on display.
