Make Easy WoW Gold in TBC

by James Barnett

I hit level 70 and bought my epic flying gryphon I wanted to find out where the best grinding spots where and where to pick up the best drops.

Grinding in the Outlands has many rewards, if you skin, you can gather a lot of knothide leather which sells great on the auction house, not to mention motes which can be turned into primals and sell for large amounts of gold.

A great spot to grind is in Hellfire on the eastern edge where the Voidwalkers spawn. These Voidwalkers drop silver, green items and very often, motes of shadow which can be turned into Primal Shadows.

There are many other great spots in the Outland to farm including Nagrand, especially for skinners, the Clefthoof give you Thick Clefthoof leather which is a great leather for high level leather workers and they pay a nice price for them.

Nagrand also offers a lot of mote drops if you aren’t a skinner, around the Oshu’Gun you can farm motes of shadow from Voidspawns and south from there on the edge are Shattered Rumblers that drop motes of earth.

I believe Netherstorm to be the best place in the game to grab up Netherweave Cloth, the name pretty much says it all, and the massive amount of humanoids that are in the area is utterly insane. You’ll also get a lot of other great drops from slaughtering the humanoids in Netherstorm such as Sunfury Signets, which grab a nice amount from the AH.

Terokkar Forrest is a awesome place for farming, especially if you aren’t level 70, even if you are already level 70, you can still pick up a lot of nice drops in this area such as Arakkoa Feathers that the Talonite bird-dudes drop, these sell very well on the AH.

While on the subject of Terokkar Forrest, you could kill the Spiders that drop Netherweb Silk, this silk is very pricey and if you farm a bunch of it, you will get rich very quickly. In 2 hours you might farm 2 or 3 stacks and these things go for 10G each, sometimes more than that… Easy gold to be made!

The Language of Poker

by Harry Rivers

Poker players use language that could be confusing. A novice to poker might get confused when sitting down to a table of seasoned poker players. This happens because poker players use words that might make no sense at all.

From the beginning of a game to the end, the players’ speech will need to be analyzed. At the beginning of the game, the players all ante. This is where they place an initial, low bet to create the pot, which is the amount of money the winner receives.

A small blind and a big blind are used in some versions of poker. These blinds are forced bets for the person sitting the left of the dealer and the next person going clockwise. If the player decides his hand is good enough to win, he will ante which is the same amount as the big blind.

In community types of poker, some of the playing cards are used by all the players and are set in the middle of the table. The players use these cards and their two hole cards, the two faced down cards that they were dealt first, to make a winning hand. A hand is five cards that make a predetermined winning set, such as two pair or a flush.

In community types of poker, the cards in the middle of the table are called the window. The first three in the window are called the flop. The next card to be dealt is the turn and the last card is the river.

After the blind bets are made and the two hole cards are dealt, the player then must either bet or fold. To fold, the player hands their cards to the dealer and awaits another round. The player folds if they feel their initial two cards are not good enough to create a winning hand.

The player to the left of the dealer is the person who places the small blind. A dealer button is passed around to the players to show who will be the next person, in the next round, to place the small blind. The button travels clockwise around the table.

Once the remaining players have bet, equal to the big blind, the dealer puts the flop into the window. Then the players will bet again based on their two hole cards and the flop. If the players feel those five cards will get them a win, the first person to the left of the dealer bets again.

Calling, raising or folding is what the other players must do. The player simply bets the same amount of the bet when they call a bet. The player bets the same amount as the initial bet but adds more when they are raising the bet.

Once all the window cards are down, the flop, the turn and the river, the last of the betting occurs. If there is more than one player still playing a showdown happens. This is when the remaining players show their hole cards to reveal what hand they have.

The highest-ranking hand wins the game. A high card, a pair, two pair, three of a kind, a flush, a straight, a full house, four of a kind, and a straight flush are the ranking hands respectively. When the pot is won, a new game is started.

The Universe of Video Games

by Bryce Verdier

Video games have come a very long way from when they were first introduced. Who could’ve imagined the variety of video game controllers currently available, the real life graphics, the sound and music options, the large number of players that you can play with and much more? Video games were destined to be popular, but who knew that popular meant a multi-billion dollar industry?

The idea of a video game was entertained as far back as 1947. But, not until 1971 was the first commercially made video game available. Created by Ted Dabney and Nolan Bushnell it was named “Computer Space”. On the heels of this was the Magnavox Odyssey in 1972 which was the first home gaming console.

Over 30 years later, this idea of a video game has blossomed into one of the most profitable entertainment devices of all time. There are a variety of systems that have come out over the years that are improved every year in terms of platforms, multiplayer capabilities, Internet play, etc.

There are various platforms on which video games can be played. These include the PC game which is played on the computer, a console game which is a device connected to the television, a handheld which is a portable gaming system that you can play in almost anywhere and an arcade game platform which is the classic, large electronic device found in game rooms across the world. Other places where you can play video games are on mobile phones, PDAs, graphing calculators, GPS receivers, MP3 players, digital cameras and watches but these do not have nearly the same experience and dimension as the previously mentioned platforms.

At first, arcade games permitted an individual to play a video game versus the computer and sometimes against another human player. Later on as technology advanced, video game consoles permitted as many as four different players to play simultaneously. With the invention of the Wii system, as many as 12 players can compete at once. An amazing feature of this technology is that you can play concurrently with local players and players worldwide.

The Internet makes this possible. Most video game consoles released today have Internet play capabilities. Local area networks and the Internet let as many as 32 or more players play in a single game. It is also possible to communicate with other players through instant messaging or voice chat.

There has been enormous progress in video games since their early days. Video game technology is advancing rapidly. Manufacturers are continuously using new improvements in technology to make for a better, more stimulating gaming experience. As video games become ever more realistic the line between the virtual world and reality blurs.
